Driving Association Member Participation in Annual Campaign

Every May, the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) celebrates National Mobility Awareness Month — an ongoing, Congressionally-recognized awareness campaign started in partnership with evok in 2012. Extensive planning, preparation, and production goes into marking this occasion each year, with our team working months in advance to maximize the campaign’s impact through fresh marketing materials, public relations strategy, industry partnerships, and more.

A critical ingredient in the success of National Mobility Awareness Month is ensuring a high level of dealer participation. From displaying promotion materials at their dealerships to sharing content related to the campaign on their social channels, NMEDA’s member dealers are pivotal to campaign success. As such, one of our areas of focus with each annual promotion is to support dealers and ensure their participation is as seamless and easy as possible.

WORK.

To support NMEDA’s dealers before, during, and after National Mobility Awareness Month, the evok team creates a full suite of marketing materials for members and industry partners to utilize at no cost. These materials include:

  • A detailed, step-by-step guidebook on how to promote the campaign with examples of how to host a webinar, plan a virtual event, write a press release, and receive the most benefit and value from the campaign

  • A disability fact sheet with up-to-date statistics

  • Campaign landing page for additional information

 

Over the years we’ve facilitated the awarding of 15 free mobility-adapted vehicles to deserving NMEDA customers/mobility-challenged individuals through our National Mobility Awareness Month Local Heroes contest and campaign. Our agency’s work up front ensures NMEDA dealers can hit the ground running on May 1st with the tools and content they need to help raise awareness for the life-changing mobility equipment and solutions available to help those with disabilities.
